Tuesday

When does the Charlotte Hornets’ ping-pong ball pop up? The NBA draft lottery is set for 8:05 p.m. on ESPN, with the order of the top 14 selections revealed at 8:30 p.m. The Hornets have a 1.7 percent chance to get the No. 1 pick and a 6.1 percent chance to get in the top three. Odds are that Minnesota (25 percent) gets the top pick.

Thursday-Saturday

Raintree Country Club will be host to the Symetra Classic, a tournament on the LPGA’s developmental tour. The field will play for an $110,000 purse and will include former Concord High star Cydney Clanton, who played last season on the PGA Tour, and Raintree member Sara-Maude Juneau. Allison Emry, a former Ardrey Kell High star, had to withdraw because she is playing in the NCAA tournament for Wake Forest. Information: www.lpgacharlotte.com.

Saturday

The Charlotte Hounds return to Memorial Stadium for a Major League Lacrosse game against the Boston Cannons at 7 p.m. The Hounds beat the Cannons 12-11 in their first meeting on April 26 in Foxborough, Mass. Tickets available at Ticketmaster.com.

Sunday

Charlotte’s speed weeks draw to a close when Jimmie Johnson goes for his fifth Coca-Cola 600 victory (and second in a row) at Charlotte Motor Speedway. It’s the longest race on the NASCAR Sprint Cup circuit, with a green flag set for 6:15 p.m. Tickets for the 600, as well as for Thursday’s qualifying and Saturday’s Xfinity Series race, are still available.
