Brett Boner shoots 66, holds off Bailey Patrick for Charlotte City Am title

Brett Boner fired a 5-under-par 66 to capture the 59th Charlotte City Amateur Golf Championship at Charlotte Country Club on Sunday.

Boner also won the annual event in 2011.

Bailey Patrick, who led the first two rounds of the three-day tournament, shot par-71 to finish one stroke behind Boner at 206 overall.

John Eades enjoyed his best round of the weekend, racing up the leader board with a 65 after rounds of 72 and 70.

JC McFadyen shot 69-68 in the first two rounds, but a 7-over 78 spoiled his final round.

Friday’s first round was played at Cedarwood Country Club, followed by the second round at Myers Park Country Club.
