Charlotte Hounds eke out their 2nd MLL win of season

The Charlotte Hounds ran just a little faster than the New York Lizards on Saturday in a 13-12 win, their second of the Major League Lacrosse season.

The Lizards led 11-10 after three quarters at James M. Shuart Stadium.

Mike Stone scored to make it 12-10 and the Hounds countered with three straight goals by Will Haus (who played at Duke), Joey Sankey (who played at North Carolina) and Kevin Cunningham to win.

Sankey had two goals and two assists to lead the Hounds with four points.

Cunningham scored three goals.

For New York, Tommy Palasek and Matt Gibson scored three goals apiece. Rob Pannell scored twice and added an assist to also score three points.
