Oct. 1: Trout fishing on 36 Western N.C. trout streams carrying the Wildlife Resources Commission’s “Delayed Harvest” designation goes under tighter regulations through June 3, 2016. No fish may be possessed and anglers may only use artificial lures with a single hook. Information: ncwildlife.org.
