Thursday: N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission public hearing for District 7 on proposed changes to management plans, fishing regulations and game lands regulations for 2016-17, 7 p.m., Elkin High School, 334 Elk Spur St., Elkin.

Friday: End of final segment of S.C. dove season. Shooting hours are 30 minutes before sunrise until sunset.

Feb. 5-7: 21st Annual East Carolina Wildlife Arts and Decoy Carving Festival, Washington, N.C. Information: ecwaf.com.
