Charlotte will get another taste of international soccer this summer when European powers Bayern Munich and Inter Milan play July 30 at Bank of America Stadium.
The match (5 p.m. kickoff) will be part of the International Champions Cup, a 10-team tournament. It is the third time in as many years that Charlotte has hosted an ICC game: Paris Saint-Germain played Chelsea in 2015 and Liverpool faced AC Milan in 2014.
Bayern Munich, which has won 25 German Bundesliga and five Champions League titles, features star forwards Robert Lewandowski and Arjen Robben and midfielder Franck Ribery.
Inter has won Italy’s Serie A 18 times and the Champions League three times, most recently in 2010. Inter is led by goalkeeper Samir Handanovic and striker Mauro Icardi.
