Charlotte Independence defeats New York Red Bulls 2-0
The Charlotte Independence won its third consecutuve game Sunday, pressuring the New York Red Bulls from the beginning en route to a 2-0 United Soccer League victory at Red Bull Arena.
Goalkeeper Cody Mizell had a couple of impressive saves and finished with seven to preserve the shutout for the Independence (4-2-0). Enzo Martinez and Patrick Slogic scored goals for Charlotte.
The Independence hosts FC Montreal (0-4-0) at 7 p.m. Saturday at Ramblewood Stadium
