The marathon of food holidays has nearly arrived.

Some may have already started training — testing recipes, making grocery lists, clearing out the pantry and refrigerator to make room for prepped ingredients and leftovers.

But the thought of making and serving a Thanksgiving meal may be too much for some.

North Carolina grocery stores (and restaurants) are selling premade meal bundles or all the ingredients families need to assemble traditional sides and desserts.

And while gourmet options are available, many grocery stores are selling foods at cheaper prices — in some cases, even cheaper than last year.

The News & Observer compiled the holiday meal bundles being sold this year at grocery stores in North Carolina. Here’s what to know.

Aldi

The grocer is also selling chef-prepared holiday meals, with fully cooked herb-roasted turkey ($150) and fully cooked rosemary-roasted beef tenderloin ($190). Both serve up to 10 people and include a salad, sides, a dessert, rolls and deviled eggs.

The grocer says its 2025 Thanksgiving meal bundle is its cheapest since 2022.

In addition to the meal, the grocer is also selling ready-to-heat hand-carved turkey dinners, spiral-sliced ham dinners and tenderloin dinners, where prices vary by side selection.

Whole Foods Market

Whole Foods is offering almost 20 holiday meal options. Serving anywhere from two to 12 people, the meals center around turkey, lamb, salmon, ham, lobster, beef and vegetables.
