WINSTON-SALEM Steven Brame’s truck was crushed by a fallen tree during a thunderstorm on Thursday, but that didn’t crush his spirit Sunday. Brame, of Henderson, won the N.C. Amateur Championship at Forsyth Country Club. He carded a final-round 69 to finish at 11-under 273 and one shot ahead of Trevor Cone of Concord and Bailey Patrick, Jr. of Charlotte.
