Job fair for military veterans will be held Oct. 27 at Charlotte Motor Speedway

A group called RecruitMilitary will host a job fair for military veterans and spouses Oct. 27 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The event is free and open to veterans, transitioning military personnel, National Guard members, Reserve members and spouses, according to a statement from RecruitMilitary. The upcoming fair will be from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the speedway, 5555 Concord Parkway South.

RecruitMilitary said it has held 23 events in Charlotte, drawing nearly 7,900 attendees and 749 exhibitors.

RecruitMilitary President and CEO Peter Gudmundsson said last year, 56 percent of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview as a result of their participation in a RecruitMilitary job fair.
