Carolina Wholesale Group acquires Arizona firm

Charlotte-based office products distributor Carolina Wholesale Group said Money it has completed its purchase of Arizona-based Smoltz Distributing.

Smoltz specializes in the distribution of dictation and transcription products. The acquisition gives CWG “strengthened relationships with key vendors, dealers and vertical markets,” the company said in a statement Monday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This is the third major deal for CWG this year. The company bought paper handling and copy center products distributor Central Office Systems in March, and partnered with 3D printer distributor 3D Systems in May.

CWG is the parent company of Carolina Wholesale Office Machines and Arlington Industries. CWG has its headquarters and distribution center in Charlotte at 425 E. Arrowhead Drive and operates other distribution centers in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
