Novant names former TIAA-CREF executive to Charlotte position

Winston-Salem-based Novant Health has named Bert Scott senior vice president of population health, based in Charlotte.

Scott most recently was CEO of Affinity Health Plan. Before that, he was president of U.S. commercial markets for CIGNA and executive vice president at TIAA-CREF in Charlotte.

Scott will report to Jesse Cureton, Novant’s executive vice president and chief consumer officer.

“We are excited to have Bert Scott, an experienced healthcare executive, return to Charlotte to help Novant Health transform the industry and help us create a remarkable patient experience,” Cureton said. “He is a proven business and community leader that will be an added asset to our company.”
