Man wanted for Aug. 17 killing found in Georgia by U.S. Marshall Service

The United States Marshall’s Service helped capture a Shelby man wanted for an August 17 killing in Shelby.

Suspect Dricko Dashon Huskey, 24, was captured in Georgia, officials said. He is suspected of shooting and killing 28-year-old Donnell Edwin Murray Jr. Police found Murray lying in the 600 block of Lincoln Street with multiple gunshot wounds. He died at Carolinas Health Care System Cleveland.

Huskey will face extradition proceedings to be returned to North Carolina to face charges of first degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Shelby police said.
