Two Charlotte firefighters suffered injuries Monday afternoon after battling a south Charlotte house fire.
The fire began around 2 p.m. at a house in the 9100 block of Covey Hollow Court.
The Charlotte Fire Department said two firefighters were treated for minor injuries.
One firefighter, who was hurt from a fall while combating the fire, was treated at an area hospital and released. Another firefighter, who sustained a minor injury during clean up, was evaluated at urgent care and returned to work.
The 23 firefighters who responded had the blaze under control in less than half an hour, the fire department said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The house was apparently vacant when the fire started, WBTV reported.
Fire crews will remain on scene throughout the night to make sure the fire doesn’t rekindle.
