Davidson town manager to retire

Davidson’s longtime town manager announced his retirement Tuesday. Leamon Brice became the town administrator in 1990 and town manager in 1991. He will retire by Dec. 31. In a statement, Brice called the decision bittersweet, adding, “Knowing that I have been part of the team to help grow Davidson into a town that makes so many people happy is really gratifying.” The mayor and commissioners have chosen a recruiting company to help find Brice’s replacement.
