Four people were killed, including a 5-year-old child, in a Saturday night head-on crash involving two vehicles in western York County, according to police and emergency officials.
Three of the people who died in the crash, which happened on Church Street in McConnells, were from Laurens, police said.
The fourth was from Rock Hill.
The York County Coroner's Office identified the crash victims from Laurens as a family: Jim Edward Daniels, 60; Patchell Daniels, 39; and Michaiah Daniels, 5. They were all pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner's office.

The driver of the second vehicle, Mitchell Alexander Jeter, 22, of Rock Hill, also died in the collision, according to Trooper Joe Hovis of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
Jeter was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner’s office said.
Jeter, a Rock Hill High School graduate, was well-known as a wrestling and football standout. He also was a defensive tackle on The Citadel football team. Jeter launched his pro football career in Canada in June 2016 with the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes.
“He was a great person and very outgoing,” said Rock Hill High School football coach Bubba Pittman, who did not coach Jeter but got to know him in the last few years.
Pittman said Jeter enjoyed sharing his knowledge with the high school players.
“He loved being around players at the school,” Pittman said. “It’s a huge loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.”
The child and two others from Laurens, including the driver and a passenger died in the crash a few minutes before 10 p.m. on Church Street, Hovis said.
Emergency officials were on the scene for hours.
The highway patrol Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating, Hovis said. Autopsy and toxicology testing are pending, according to the coroner’s office.
