NFL drops complaint with Mecklenburg DA over Greg Hardy evidence
The NFL dropped its lawsuit against Mecklenburg prosecutors Monday after viewing photographs from Greg Hardy’s trial.
In July, a judge found the former Carolina Panther guilty of assaulting his former girlfriend, Nicole Holder. The charges were dropped when Holder failed to appear at Hardy’s appeal before a jury. The NFL sued last month seeking evidence from Hardy’s first trial in deciding Hardy’s league punishment.
Hardy, now a Dallas Cowboy, remains on the NFL’s exempt list. The district attorney’s office says the NFL Players Association and Hardy’s attorney also viewed the photos. Michael Gordon
