Charlotte traffic: Expect delays in uptown Charlotte from Belk Bowl events
Drivers can expect delays in uptown Charlotte as the Belk Bowl FanFest runs from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. outside of Bank of America Stadium. N.C. State faces Mississippi State at 3:30 p.m.
Mint Street at the stadium is closed, including the intersection of Stonewall, Graham and Mint.
Barriers also prevent motorists from turning off Morehead Street onto Mint.
Elsewhere, Sharon Amity Road has reopened at Kimmerly Glen Lane. It had been closed after a vehicle overturned at the intersection, Charlotte fire officials said.
The wreck happened at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Eighteen firefighters helped free an occupant of the vehicle.
At 8:45 a.m., there also was a wreck on Shopton Road at Steele Creek Road.
