CBS’ Charlie Rose wears Cam Newton-like pair of yellow pants on the air

Charlie Rose shocked his co-hosts on “CBS This Morning” when he showed up wearing a bright yellow pair of Cam Newton-like pants on Tuesday.

Co-hosts Gayle King and Norah O’Donnell burst out in laughter at the sight of Rose’s $895 Versace pants.

“I used to raise eyeballs around here wearing purple socks,” longtime CBS newsman Bob Schieffer told Rose during the show. “You’ve raised the bar.”

Super Bowl bettors should also take note, according GQ’s “Style Guy,” Mark Anthony Green, who told espn.com that the pants could be a good harbinger for the Panthers.

“For Cam to make such a bold statement with his pants — we’ll have to see in the game — but he might walk in there with supreme confidence that this show might not really be getting to him,” said Green. “You don’t really wear pants like that if you’re having a bashful moment.”
