Expect a wet start to the week, sunshine by weekend

The start to the workweek is expected to be wet, with occasional showers in the forecast after that. But the clouds should move out in time for the weekend.

There’s a 40 percent chance for up to a half-inch of rain before 3 p.m. Monday, when the high should be around 82 and the low around 64. The chance for up to a quarter-inch of ran and thunderstorms increases to 70 percent for Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.

The wet weather is expected to continue into Tuesday. The forecast calls for a 50 percent chance of rain and a high near 77. A 40 percent chance of rain is in the forecast for Tuesday night, with a low around 57.

Wednesday is expected to be partly sunny, although there is a 20 percent chance for showers before 10 a.m. The high should be near 74. The low should be around 54, with a 20 percent chance for sprinkles between midnight and 2 a.m.

Thursday should bring a mostly sunny sky and a high near 67. There will be a 30 percent chance of showers and a low around 50.

Friday should be mostly sunny with a high near 70 and a low around 52.

Saturday should be mostly sunny with a high near 74 and a low around 53.

Expect a mostly sunny sky on Sunday with a high around 80.
