4 charged with murder after remains of 2 men found in burnt car
A Charlotte man and three Morganton residents were charged with murder after the remains of two men were found in a burnt car in Burke County.
The remains of Albert Alexander Austin, 35, and Spencer Jermain Murray, 29. both of Forest City were found in a Cadillac Deville on Canoe Creek Way near Morganton on Sunday, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office said.
On Thursday afternoon, authorities arrested Brian Jerome Robinson, 33; Icey Chennell Gooden, 26; and Brandy Nicole Davis, 32, on two counts each of murder. They were jailed without bail.
On Friday morning, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested Scott Devon Hemphill, 33, on two counts of murder. He also was jailed without bail.
