Police search for clues in death of 45-year-old man
A man treated at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center on Tuesday night was the victim of a homicide, police said.
Police on Friday identified the man as William Lynn Phillips, 45.
Police were called to the hospital shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday and learned from medical staff that a trauma victim had been taken to the emergency room by a family member. Police have not disclosed the type of trauma Phillips suffered.
Police said they are working to find where the crime occurred and whether anyone witnessed what happened. Phillips died at the hospital on Wednesday.
