The jury will begin deliberating Tuesday in the voluntary manslaughter trial of CMPD Officer Randall “Wes” Kerrick over the 2013 shooting death of Jonathan Ferrell.
Closing arguments are scheduled for Tuesday morning, following 11 days of testimony. The 12-member jury has two people who are Latino, three African-American and seven white. Eight are women and four are men.

The victim and the accused
A profile of Jonathan Ferrell. The 24-year-old Florida native had moved to Charlotte to be with his fiancee. He was a former scholarship football player for Florida A&M University.
