Several investigations into alleged child sexual exploitation have resulted in three men being arrested by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
The arrests were made by CMPD’s Cyber Crime Unit detectives on Wednesday, police said.
Investigators said they determined that the suspects had images depicting sexual abuse. Rob Tufano, a spokesman for CMPD, described the images as “heinous in nature” and said they involved children.
Police said Larry Trevathan, 56, and Donald Veazie, 70, each was charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. John Winterton, 42, was charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, police said.
