Police accuse teen of raping woman after break-in
Police say a 16-year-old broke into a woman’s home in north Charlotte and sexually assaulted her Thursday.
Malik Jamon Allen has been charged with three counts of first-degree rape, five counts of first-degree sex offense, breaking and entering, and kidnapping.
The alleged assault happened about 9 a.m. Thursday on Browne’s Ferry Road, near West W.T. Harris Boulevard and Old Statesville Road.
The victim told authorities the man forced his way into her home, sexually assaulted her and stole several items before fleeing.
Allen was detained by police officers a short time later. He was being interviewed by detectives late Thursday and was expected to be jailed afterward. Cleve R. Wootson Jr.
