NC GOP executive director’s email account compromised

As he was dealing with the firebombing of the local GOP office in Orange County, state Republican Party executive director Dallas Woodhouse sent an email to his contacts Monday saying his account had been compromised.

The account is now secure, he wrote.

He advised recipients to delete a phishing email that invites them to click on a file labeled “GOP financial document,” and to enter an email and password.

The counterfeit site pretends to be a dropbox, Woodhouse wrote.
