Charlotte-Mecklenburg school board candidates on the issues
Nine candidates are running this fall for three at-large seats on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education. The next school board will consider a variety of issues, including student assignment, the hiring of a new superintendent and student achievement.
The Observer sent questionnaires to each of the school board hopefuls to learn their views on these and other issues, as well as to get more information about their background. Candidates were also invited to submit videos to explain why they deserve your vote on Nov. 3.
