UNC-Chapel Hill earlier this month agreed to pay Jackson Boyer, a former football player at the school, $795,000 to cover “all of his actual or potential personal injury claims” related to a hazing incident in 2014.

Boyer was a walk-on wide receiver at UNC when on Aug. 4, 2014, he was involved in an altercation at the Aloft Hotel, where the football team stays during preseason camp. Four of Boyer’s teammates – Des Lawrence, Donnie Miles, M.J. Stewart and Brian Walker – were suspended for one game.

Boyer, meanwhile, remained on the team and played in seven games during the 2014 season before he transferred to Southern Cal, where he is a junior non-scholarship receiver.

Here is a copy of the settlement agreement between Boyer and his family and UNC.
