Tiger Woods is trying out some new courses.

The 2012 US Open winner played in only two of five possible matches during the weekend, losing with US teammate Bubba Watson 5 and 4 during Friday’s four-ball competition, and managing a half-point singles tie Sunday against Europe’s Ian Poulter.

The tone was set by Rory McIlroy, the best player in the world. The winning shot came from Jamie Donaldson, a Ryder Cup rookie.
