Friday’s Mallard Creek-Hopewell football game, originally scheduled to be played at Hopewell, has been moved to Mallard Creek. Kickoff is Friday at 7 p.m.

Hopewell’s field absorbed heavy rain last week, and school officials were concerned that with more rain in the forecast this week, playing Friday’s game might severely damage the field. Mallard Creek has an artificial turf field.

The game will remain a Hopewell home game, with Hopewell’s “chain gang” and announcing crew working at Mallard Creek’s stadium. Hopewell will wear its dark home uniforms.
