First Team

Pitcher, Matt Ball, Providence, Sr.: West Point commit was 11-0 with an 0.79 ERA. He had 105 strikeouts against 23 walks. He ranks No. 3 in his class with better than a 4.0 weighted GPA.

Pitcher, Doug Norman, Ardrey Kell, Sr.: LSU recruit was SoMeck 8 player of the year. He was 9-1 with an 0.78 ERA and had 94 strikeouts in 63 innings.

INF, Tommy DeJuneas, Providence, Sr.: N.C. State signee hit .424 with five home runs. Had 15 stolen bases and 1.79 ERA as a pitcher.

INF, Ryder Ryan, North Mecklenburg, Sr.: MLB draftee and UNC recruit, Ryan hit .536 with 28 RBIs and six home runs. He was 7-1 as a pitcher with 103 strikeouts in 62 innings. He had an 0.565 ERA.

INF, Jacob Whittingham, Butler, Sr.: Southwestern 4A co-player of the year hit .494 with 21 RBIs. Two-time all-conference pitcher had 40 hits.

INF, Zach Featherstone, Ardrey Kell, Sr.: Pitcher/first baseman is an N.C. State recruit who hit .398 with seven home runs and 25 RBIs.

OF, Justin Baker, Hough, Sr.: Hit .456 with 24 RBIs and two home runs. Set school season records for batting average, hits and ERA. Was 9-0 with 1.14 ERA as pitcher with 59 strikeouts.

OF, Nigel Hester, Piedmont, Sr.: Hit .385 with three home runs, 11 RBIs and was 8-for-8 on stolen base attempts, helping lead his team to a second straight state championship series appearance.

OF, Josh Crump, Rock Hill Northwestern, Sr.: All-state star helped lead Northwestern to the S.C. 4A state championship series.

C, Aaron Pilkington, Ardrey Kell, So: Led the nation with 19 home runs. Hit .400 with 43 RBIs for nationally ranked N.C. 4A quarterfinalist.

UT, Josh Hiatt, Providence, Sr.: UNC recruit was 9-3 as a pitcher with a 2.14 ERA. He beat 2013 4A state champ South Meck three times and had a 3-hitter against state power Ardrey Kell; hit .321 with 21 RBIs, five doubles, two HR.
