Duke’s Amile Jefferson among 6 players invited to Hornets’ pre-draft workout
Former Duke forward Amile Jefferson is one of six draft candidates scheduled to work out for the Charlotte Hornets Saturday at Spectrum Center.
Saturday’s group looks like second-round picks or undrafted rookie free agents. The Hornets will select 11th and 41st overall in the June 22 draft.
Jefferson, a senior, averaged 10.9 points for the Blue Devils last season and just under 30 minutes.
Others auditioning for the Hornets Saturday: Antonio Blakeney from Louisiana State; Torian Graham from Arizona State; Kyle Kuzma from Utah; Derrick Walton, Jr. from Michigan; and Nigel Williams-Goss from Gonzaga.
The Hornets are expected to hold several workouts next week, including candidates for the 11th pick.
