Matchup to Watch

Kemba Walker vs. John Wall: Walker is having his most efficient season in the NBA. Wall might be the one bright spot for the Wizards so far this season.

Observations

▪  The Wizards are four games below .500 and the problem is clearly defense: They have lost four of their last five and gave up 110.5 points per game in those four losses.

▪  The Wizards seem to greatly miss Paul Pierce, who left for the Los Angeles Clippers in free-agency.

Tap-ins

▪  The Hornets played Thursday without shooting guard Nic Batum, who was out sick. The Hornets did not practice Friday.

▪  Wizards guard Bradley Beal is out with a stress reaction. Former Charlotte Bobcat Garrett Temple is a fill-in starter for Washington.

Did you know?

The Wizards are loaded with former Charlotte players, with Gary Neal and Ramon Sessions coming off the bench.
