Hornets’ Jefferson undergoes arthroscopic knee surgery, likely out 6 weeks
Charlotte Hornets center Al Jefferson underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Thursday.
Jefferson, who recently missed 11 games with an injured calf and suspension, will be out for about six weeks, the team announced Wednesday. The surgery repaired a damaged meniscus in his right knee, which was discovered Wednesday during an MRI. The Hornets said the recovery time is expected to be 6 weeks.
Jefferson is averaging 12.5 points and 6.1 rebounds in 19 games. He had played in two games after returning from his 11-game absence.
