Matchup to Watch

Karl-Anthony Towns vs. Cody Zeller: The favorite for rookie of the year, Towns is good for a double-double pretty much every game.

Observations

▪  Andrew Wiggins has definitely lived up to billing as the top pick in the 2014 NBA draft. The Cleveland Cavaliers chose him, eventually trading his draft rights to the Timberwolves in the Kevin Love deal.

▪  The Timberwolves recently cleared some veterans off the roster, waiving Andre Miller and Kevin Martin.

Tap-ins

▪  Future Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett has a sore right knee and is listed as doubtful for this game.

▪  Hornets center Spencer Hawes, who has missed the past eight games with a lower back strain, has been cleared to start shooting drills.

Did you know?

The Timberwolves are 9-35 this season when allowing 100 or more points. The Hornets average over 104 in home games this season.
