Charlotte Hornets officially clinch NBA playoff spot
The Charlotte Hornets have clinched an NBA playoff spot.
The Chicago Bulls' 94-90 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night sealed the postseason spot for the Charlotte Hornets (44-31) with seven games left in the season.
Later Saturday, the Hornets moved into sole possession of third place in the Eastern Conference with Miami’s 110-93 loss to Portland. The Heat also clinched a playoff spot with the Bulls’ loss.
Hornets playoffs tickets are already on sale.
Now the Hornets are playing for seeding and possible home-court advantage in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Sunday, the Hornets travel to Cleveland for an afternoon game against the Cavaliers.
