Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin’s recovery from ACL reconstructive surgery is going well, according to Panthers coach Ron Rivera.

Team physician Pat Connor performed the surgery on Benjamin on Sept. 10, and the second-year wideout has been going through rehabilitation for two weeks.

“He’s well into his rehab,” Rivera said. “He’s done a great job.”

Benjamin tore the ligament in his left knee during an Aug. 19 practice with the Miami Dolphins in Spartanburg. Benjamin is out for this season and the earliest he could return to the field would be next spring during organized team activities.

Rivera said Benjamin has been getting treatment many days alongside Stephen Hill, another Panthers wideout who tore his ACL during training camp.
