The Carolina Panthers still have two regular season games left, but tickets for their first playoff game go on sale to the general public Tuesday evening.

About 6,000 to 7,000 tickets will be available starting at 6 p.m. only through Ticketmaster. The rest of the tickets have already been snapped up by Panthers season ticket holders, said Phil Youtsey, the team’s executive director of ticketing and sponsorship.

“Historically speaking, they will go very quickly,” Youtsey said.

Thanks to their 14-0 record, the Panthers have a bye in the first round of the playoffs. Their first postseason game – in the NFL’s divisional round – will be Jan. 16 or 17 against an opponent still to be determined.

The price range for tickets is $58 to $160. A few club-level tickets are also available for between $270 and $450.

Ticketmaster is selling the tickets at its locations in the Carolinas, by phone at 800-745-3000 or online at ticketmaster.com.

If the Panthers win in the divisional round, their next game would be the NFC Championship game, the last step before the Super Bowl.

If that game is at home, the same number of tickets will be sold again to the general public, Youtsey said.
