Panthers RBs Jonathan Stewart, Mike Tolbert reward linemen with flat-screen TVs
Carolina Panthers running backs Jonathan Stewart and Mike Tolbert rushed for a combined 1,245 yards and seven touchdowns, and both players were selected to this year’s Pro Bowl.
As a sign of their gratitude, the players bought all of their offensive linemen flat-screen TVs for the work they did to get them there.
The linemen came back from practice Thursday afternoon and each one had a Vizio 49-inch flat-screen TV with a retail value of $600 sitting at their locker.
“They’re two good guys,” said guard Fernando Velasco, who plans to use the TV in his Georgia home. “They did it to let us know they appreciate us and the work that we do. We just try to pay them back by opening up a lot of holes each and every week.”
