The 2015 Carolina Panthers are sure to go down as one of the best in franchise history. But how do today’s players stack up against the last Panther squad to play in the Super Bowl?  Each day from now until Super Bowl 50, we’ll compare position players from the 2003 team to their counterparts on the 2015 team. Your mission is to vote for who you think is better. Vote every day and create your Panthers Super Bowl dream squad!

The 2003 team had Julius Peppers who had 8 sacks and was 2002 AP Defensive Rookie of the Year, Brentson Buckner who had 2 sacks, Kris Jenkins who had 6 sacks and was an All-Pro player in 2002 and 2003, and Mike Rucker who had 13 sacks and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2003. They had a total of 24.5 sacks during the regular season and playoffs, including Super Bowl XXXVIII.

The 2015 team has Jared Allen who has 2 sacks and is a five-time Pro Bowl selection, Star Lotulelei who has 1 sack, Kawann Short with 13 sacks, and Charles Johnson with 3 sacks. So far, they have a total of 19 sacks with one game left.
