Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly has been growing out his hair for months, and he was relieved Thursday when someone finally noticed.

“Yes! Thank you! Someone finally asked about it,” Kuechly exclaimed.

Kuechly couldn’t remember how long he’s gone without a haircut, but pictures of the middle linebacker throughout the season would indicate he hasn’t gotten a haircut since at least training camp in August.

Tight end Greg Olsen, center Ryan Kalil, linebacker Ben Jacobs and right tackle Mike Remmers have all been growing out playoff beards. Kuechly wanted to grow his out, but that didn’t work.

“I tried and it looked terrible,” Kuechly said. “They said all right well if you can’t grow your beard you have to grow the hair.”
