What to do if you’re a Carolina Panthers fan in Denver Thursday
Though Carolina obviously won’t enjoy a home-field advantage, the Panthers fan club in Denver is still hoping for a strong showing from crowds for Thursday night’s season opener against the Broncos.
Ahead of the much-anticipated Super Bowl rematch, the Roaring Riot is hosting a handful of parties to get fellow Carolina fans pumped up, said Zack Luttrell, the club’s president.
About 220 people signed up for the trip with the Roaring Riot, the Charlotte-based club, Lutrell added. Activities are open to all Panthers fans, though those who purchased packages through the club get group drink specials and transportation.
Festivities start with a bar crawl Wednesday night beginning at 8 local time at a bar called Sidecar. Next up at 9:30 is Larimer Beer Hall, then Gin Mill at 11.
Then starting at 2 p.m. Thursday, the Roaring Riot is hosting an official tailgate party at a spot called the Lobby, which can accommodate about 450 fans, Luttrell said. From there, fans with prepaid bracelets can take shuttles to Sports Authority Field at Mile High between 4:30-6:30.
The post-game celebration party takes place at Shelby’s, Luttrell added.
More information is available on Roaring Riot’s website.
