Panthers to host playoff pep rally at the EpiCentre

Tailgating for the Panthers’ playoff game against Seattle won’t begin in earnest until Sunday morning, but the postseason partying officially starts at 7 p.m. Friday.

That’s when the team will host the Miller Lite Panthers Playoff Pep Rally at the EpiCentre, 210 E. Trade St. in uptown Charlotte.

Highlights include appearances by (and the opportunity to be photographed with) TopCats cheerleaders and performances by the Panthers’ PurrCussion drumline.

The pep rally part of it is free and open to families.

For $10.85, you can buy a ticket that also gets you: a wristband; a commemorative Panthers 2015 Division Champions T-shirt; chances to win Panthers playoff tickets and other prizes; and no line/no cover and beer specials at participating bars (Whisky River, Blackfinn, Strike City, Vida, Vida Vida, Bubble, Suite and Rooftop 210).

By the way, last year, it rained during a similar pep rally. The forecast for Friday is iffy, but the current outlook is for rain in the afternoon...
