Rabbis in Charlotte and Denver square off with a Super Bowl wager in righteously entertaining videos
Rabbis in Charlotte and Denver have made their own Super Bowl wager, complete with righteously entertaining videos hyping their own team’s chances Sunday and dissing the other's.
They’ve set up a Fundly page. As of Monday, they had raised $2,586 – the goal is $3,600. All the money goes to children’s charities chosen by each temple – in Charlotte, the Shalom Park Freedom School – though two-thirds of the dough will go to the winning side.
On “JewTube Charlotte,” here’s Rabbi Judy Schindler of Charlotte’s Temple Beth El making her case, sermon-style, about why “God is a Panthers Fan!”
And here Denver Rabbi Joe Black answers with Temple Emanuel’s brazen video – check out the soaring musical score – about why the Broncos will crush the “Kitty Cats.”
