Church hosting Super Bowl meal for homeless

West Charlotte’s New Outreach Christian Center is looking for help with food for an unusual Super Bowl tailgate party Sunday, that will cater to the homeless and low income people.

The ministry held a similar event the last time the Carolina Panthers went to the Super Bowl in 2004 and has decided to keep the tradition going.

Donations are being sought including hot dogs, buns and chips for the event. They can be dropped off 11 a.m.-7 p.m. this week at the New Outreach Center, 3900 Gossette Ave.

Details: 704-398-1777 or cell 704-773-7954.
