Ucity just the tip?: After deciding to move out 187 residents from its Circle University City apartments to deal with flooring problems, Crescent Communities decided Wednesday to examine some of its other, similar complexes.
This is lousy timing for Crescent, which is in an apartment-building boom with units going up in Dilworth and SouthPark and in the planning stage for NoDa and Stonewall.

The silver lining: Sure, many UNCC students may have lost their place to live. But, the campus is gaining a full-service Bojangles’ and a Panda Express this fall. Pretty equal trade.

Now, the Hornets have hired him as ambassador and special projects advisor. He’ll also continue to call Hornets games for Fox.

What Charlotte needs is …: A medical school. So says a health care consultant speaking in Charlotte Wednesday. Charlotte is the biggest U.S. city without one. So why not just do it? You guessed it: it’s expensive.
