Wine, coffee and Dallas all part of new development coming to CLT
A whole grab-bag of interesting developments are in the hopper:
(1) Crescent goes to NoDa: Early plans by Crescent Communities target 7 acres of land at 36th Street near North Davidson, near the Blue Line extension. Mix of residential and commercial. Rezoning hearing March 16.

(2) Bottoms up: Corkbuzz Wine Studio is opening in Southpark in mid-May. The wine bar hails from NYC and has more than 250 wines on the list. And Chupitos, a “shots and tapas” bar, hopes to open mid-summer at 400 S. Graham, near the baseball park.

(3) Amelie’s goes South: The eclectic coffee shop is set to open in Carmel Commons mid-March.

(4) Visit your exes in Texas: Southwest Airlines just announced it’s adding a non-stop flight from CLT to Dallas.

(5) Get friendly. Friendship Trays, Charlotte’s Meals on Wheels, will have a grand opening of its Friendship Market this Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon. Sit down for a fresh lunch or pick up dinner to go. All proceeds benefit Friendship Trays.

(6) And the winners are …: The Counselors of Real Estate gave out their annual awards last week to Geoffrey Curme, whose Mount Vernon Asset Management financially salvaged the EpiCentre and launched growth plans, including two hotels; and Don Beaver, owner of the Charlotte Knights, Dan Rajkowski, Knights COO and Michael Smith, CEO of Charlotte Center City Partners, for the fab uptown baseball park.
