European-style cafe opens retail store in SouthPark — bring on the bread and cheese
Restaurant and hospitality company Noble Food and Pursuits has brought you Queen City favorites like Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen, Noble Smoke and The King’s Kitchen. Now, you can shop at the new Copain Gatherings retail store, where you’ll find all that you need to create your own gathering.
“This has been a dream of ours to open this store, and we finally just decided to pull the trigger during COVID to give people another option for easy dinners since they wouldn’t be able to go out to dinner,” said Caroline Winchester, catering and events sales manager for Noble Food and Pursuits.
“Our motto is to gather with ease and this is an easy way to help people do that. We felt like people were looking for staples that were going to be local in the SouthPark area when trying to avoid big grocery stores. Our goal is bringing our online platform to life with a retail location.”
ALL YOU NEED FOR YOUR OWN GATHERING
The European-style cafe and bakery is “a collective committed to prepared foods and provisions.” It will offer an assortment of fresh baked bread and pastries, which are available in-store or to order online for pickup.
Bread selections include fresh-baked sourdough, baguettes, caraway and rye, biscuits, croissants and seeded sourdough. If you’re craving something sweet, the store will offer cookies, coconut cake, buttermilk pie and strawberry tarts prepared with NC strawberries.
Copain’s retail location will also feature provisions, including pantry items like cheese, charcuterie, produce, eggs, salad dressings, house-made pasta and pickled vegetables.
If you’re serving a big meal, you can choose from whole proteins like Joyce Farms wood-oven rotisserie chicken, grilled flank steak, wings and more. Side selections include pimento cheese, chicken salad and roasted carrot hummus. The retail store also offers wine, coffee and family meal packages.
