A new spot for hearing live music — complete with a green room — opens in LoSo.
Expect elevated bar food, frozen drinks and live music when Goldie’s opens in LoSo on Monday, May 22.
The 6,400-square-foot music venue and restaurant includes multiple patios and indoor spaces within its 73-year-old building in lower South End.
“Goldie’s is a celebration of all things Americana — from music flowing from the stage and throughout the space to straightforward but crave-worthy food & drinks, to the laid-back atmosphere where you can have a business lunch, an unforgettable night out or a chill Sunday afternoon,” owner Tyler Hager said.
Goldie’s also has a green room for visiting musicians to relax in before and after shows, a perk the team believes will help attract bigger name talent to the venue.
The food: Goldie’s offers three food outlets. Goldie’s Kitchen will offer burgers, sandwiches, tacos and rotisserie chicken, along with a weekend lineup of brunch sammies and burritos. Other areas of the venue include additional food options, such as Big Weiner Hot Dogs, a late night food cart, and NY style pizza from Tina’s Pizza at the back bar.
Weekend brunch items include the Dancing Queen, French toast-style ham and cheese served with raspberry jam, and the Stuffed Burrito with three eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and shredded cheddar cheese.
The drinks: The bar at Goldie’s features cocktails, including frozen Transfusions, plus beer and wine.
“We are excited to bring something new and totally different to Charlotte, and something we haven’t seen anywhere else,” Hager said. “We’re building Goldie’s out of a love and passion for the experience that is created by live music and coupling that with an appetite for good times and fun food and drinks.”
Roby Commercial is working on the construction construction, with Spencer Architect for structural design, Parks House Design for interior design and The Plaid Penguin for branding, graphic design and communications.
