Have you missed What the Fries? It’s now open for dine-in service again in Charlotte
French fry aficionados can celebrate: What The Fries is back. The restaurant known for its gourmet loaded fries, along with burgers and wraps, is now open for dine-in, takeout and delivery at City Kitch West End.
After only offering food to go back in October, the fan-favorite spot — which started as a food truck — has officially opened its new dining experience in the newly planned front of the house.
Now guests can sit down and enjoy one-of-a-kind gourmet loaded fries, like smokey bacon fries and shrimp hibachi fries, the infamous Smash burger or chicken sandwich at its new Wesley Heights location.
The new space at City Kitch West End — featuring an open kitchen counter and booths — was designed by Southwick Architecture + Interiors.
“What the Fries is ecstatic to go back home at City Kitch and to partner with them on this new dining experience,” What The Fries chefs and owners Jamie Barnes and Greg Williams previously said in a joint statement.
“We operated out of City Kitch’s University location from 2014-2021, when we started as a food truck, so it holds a special place in our hearts. We are thrilled to be part of City Kitch’s expansion and to become part of their West End community.”
